THE government cares for the rakyat and will always make sure that it will build affordable homes for every Malaysian.
This is because, a house is the basic right of every Malaysian and owning a house is very important to ensure that the rakyat can live comfortably while earning a living.
What has the government done to ensure that all Malaysians have a roof over their heads?
s take a look at a few of them.
The Housing Schemes For The Rakyat
———————————————
The government has launched so many housing schemes.
The housing scheme include PR1MA, Skim Rumah Pertamaku, Perumahan Penjawat Awam 1Malaysia (PPA1M), Rumah Mesra Rakyat 1Malaysia (RMR1M), My Beautiful New Home, Program Rumah Terbengkalai, Rumah WIP, Rumah Idaman Rakyat (RIR), Sekim Rent To Own, BSN MyHome-1, Projek Perumahan Rakyat, Rumah Tranit 1Malaysia, Perumahan Awam Kos Rendah DBKL, Skim Bantuan Sewa Rumah DBKL, Program Bantuan Ruman (PBR), My Deposit, Rumah Generasi Ke-2 Felda, Skim Pinjaman Perumahan Oleh SPNB, Skim MyHome and many others.
This is proof that the government cares for the rakyat’s well being.
PR1MA Leads The Way To Help The Rakyat
————————————————–
PR1MA or Projek Rumah Rakyat 1Malaysia is one of the many schemes set up by the government to build affordable homes for the rakyat.
PR1MA wants to build 500,000 affordable homes by 2020 and as at December 2015, a total of 260,188 PR1MA houses have been approved, of which 132,352 units are being constructed.
A total of 1.38 million people have registered for PR1MA houses nationwide.
This shows that the government really cares for the rakyat and is always concerned with their welfare and is trying its best to proide afforfable homes to the rakyat.
Skim Pembayaran Fleksibel For The Rakyat
——————————————————
Just last month, PR1MA launched the new Skim Pembiayaan Fleksibel for the 1Malaysia People’s Housing Programme (PR1MA) to help the rakyat who are unable to get housing loans.
This is a good move as it will help the rakyat who are unable to get housing loans to be able to buy new homes for the first time.
Professor of Economics at Sunway University Business School Dr Yeah Kim Leng said the scheme provides more opportunities for PR1MA buyers to get housing loans.
“The scheme will help PR1MA homebuyers in terms financing. It is positive news for homebuyers,” Yeah told the New Straits Times.
Despatch rider Sahari Mat Asri told Malaysian Access that the scheme is a great help to him as he only earns a salary of RM2,000 a month.
Banks also do not want to give him loans due to his small salary.
The Skim Pembayaran Fleksibel will allow Sahari to buy a house and then he will be able to focus on work which will help make the Malaysian economy strong.
The Rakyat Can Also Withdraw Money From The EPF To Buy a House
———————————————————————————–
The government is also sensitive with the rakyat’s problems and will help them to buy a house.
So, the government has asked the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to help the rakyat by allowing them to withdraw money from their EPF Account 2.
This is a very helpful move by the government as it can really help the rakyat to buy and own a house.
With the money from Account 2, the rakyat can pay downpayment for a house and later on pay the installments which are very affordable.
When families are safe at their houses, this will allow the rakyat to focus on their work and help the country’s economy become strong.
Government Cares For The Children Too
————————————————–
Parents with children staying in 1Malaysia People’s Housing (PR1MA) homes have a reason to smile this year.
This is because they will be having access to quality child development programmes under Permata.
Bernama reported that PR1MA will build childcare centres and Perkasa@Remaja youth community centres in every PR1MA high-rise development.
PR1MA chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias said children and young adults of some 5,909 PR1MA homeowners are set to benefit from Permata-PR1MA partnership programme by the end of the year.
This is important because children are our future and we need to take care of them so that they will be able to contribute to the economy.
Other States Are Also Helping To Build Affordable Homes
———————————————————————-
All over Malaysia, all the states are helping to build affordable homes.
The Kedah government is confident of achieving its target of building 40,000 affordable homes by next year.
In Negri Sembilan, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said 50 percent of houses in the state must be affordable homes.
Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Abang Johari Openg also said that the state government will allocate land to build affordable homes for the people and prevent housing prices from rising.
So it is clear that the government is always helping the rakyat to own affordable homes to ensure a qood quality of life and that the rakyat will be able to contribute to the economy.
