Investors

INVESTORS from all over the world like to invest in Malaysia.

Because of this, Malaysia has always been a top choice for investors.

Malaysia is always ranked at the top.

s take a look at why these investors like Malaysia.

And also see how investors can help the rakyat.

Friendly Government Policies
————————————
Investors from within Malaysia and all over the world such as United States, China, Japan and Singapore like to invest in Malaysia due to our friendly government policies.

The government has always been friendly making it easy for investors to invest in Malaysia.

As an example, companies which wants to invest in Malaysia, do not have to wait long to get approval.

An investor can get approval on their project in weeks.

In some other countries, it can take months.

So that is among the reasons why investors like to invest in Malaysia.

More Government Friendly Policies
——————————————–
In a survey involving more than 6,000 investors, the investors said they all like to come to Malaysia as they are given many many benefits.

The Ministry of International Trade and Industry will always help investors to set up their business.

The minister is always proactive and the government officers will always attend to investors needs.

As an example, the government will give tax breaks meaning the investors don’t have to pay tax to the government as long as they invest in Malaysia.

This will make investors very happy and they will decide to invest even more in Malaysia in the future.

Malaysian Economy Dynamic
————————————
Despite the challenging conditions, the Malaysian economy has always been strong and consistent registering between 4 and 5 percent growth for the past several years.

Even during the challenging economic crisis, the Malaysian economy has never fallen into a recession.

PriceWaterhouse Coopers reported that Malaysia is expected to register the world’s 25th largest gross domestic product growth by 2030.

All this thanks to the good friendly policies of the government which cares for the rakyat.

And also thanks to the Malaysian rakyat who works hard to make sure that our country becomes a better place to live in.

World Bank Says Malaysia Is Ranked 23rd In Ease Of Doing Business
————————————————————————————-
In October last year, the World Bank ranked Malaysia at number 23rd for Ease of Doing Business.

What this means is that if you are an investor from from Japan, it is easier to invest in Malaysia compared to another country which is ranked number 24.

The investor can just submit his business plan easily, easy get a loan from a bank, easy to get a lawyer, easy to get approval from a local council, easy to buy land, easy to set up a factory, easy to get workers, easy to export and easy to make a profit.

So that is why Malaysia is among the world’s top investment destinations and we have to continue to make it easier for investors to come to our country.

Political Stability
———————
One of the reasons why investors like to invest in Malaysia is because our political situation is stable.

Investors who have lots of money, do not like to invest in an unstable country.
This is because if they invest hundreds of millions of dollars in an unstable country, they might lose their money when the country that they invested in has war or battles or riots.

So that is why investors like Malaysia as the political situation is stable.

Corruption Is Manageable
——————————–
Although there are many cases of corruption in Malaysia, the country is still okay as the corruption is manageable.

The Corruption Perception Index (CPI) ranked Malaysia at number 55 which is better than some of our neighbours.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Razali Ibrahim told the Dewan Rakyat on March 16 that Malaysia is working hard to be ranked as the world’s 30th least corrupt countries by 2020.

Investors know that corruption is hard to monitor and can happen anywhere in the world.

But investors know that Malaysia is doing the very best that it can and investors have faith in our number one anti corruption agency, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

Entrepreneurial Spirit Is High
————————————-
Malaysia has over 1 million small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) and other businesses.

Investors like the SMEs because they can supply investors with the raw materials.

As an example, if the investor wants to invest in a factory, the SMEs will supply the investors with cement, steel, factory machinery, chairs, tables and so many others.

So investors and SMEs can help each other by doing business with each other.

And that is why some investors like Coca Cola announced on March 12 that it will invest RM500 million to expand its existing factory in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

This is because Coca Cola can easily source for their raw material from Malaysia such as sugar, water, colouring, boxes, bottles and so many others from the SMEs.

Many Malaysians Can Speak English
————————————————-
One of the reasons why investors like to invest in Malaysia is because English is widely spoken.

From schoolchildren to teenagers, adults and old people, almost everybody in Malaysia can speak English.

So that is why investors like to come and invest in Malaysia.

This is important because investors are investing hundreds of millions of ringgit in Malaysia and it will help them a lot if they can communicate with Malaysians on what to do in order to make the business a success.

Investors cannot do business if the Malaysian workers cannot speak English.

Can Easily Get Workers
———————————-
Investors also like to come to Malaysia because there are many workers available.

Malaysian workers are highly educated from the professional, to semi-professionals and the general workers.

We have a lot of blue collar and white collar workers ranging from engineers to architects, doctors and the normal technician.

So that is why, a lot of investors like to come to Malaysia as it is easy to get skilled and non skilled workers.

And the salaries that the investors have to pay is also competitive compared to other countries.

What Does All This Mean To The Rakyat?
——————————————
For the rakyat, whenever investors come into the country such as from Japan or the United States, it will be good for the Malaysian economy.

This is a good sign as investors from all over the world have confidence in Malaysia and the Malaysian economy, the government and its people.

Investors who come into Malaysia will provide jobs and when there are jobs, there are salaries.

With salaries, Malaysians can earn an income and provide for their families such as buying a house and putting food on the table.
