PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been named as one of Asia’s best finance ministers.

In its survey, newsportal www.financeasia.com has ranked Datuk Seri Najib as the 12th best Finance Minister out of 48 Asia Pacific countries.

What are some of the qualities that has made Datuk Seri Najib as one of the best?

How has he helped the rakyat?

us take a look at some of them.

Under Najib – The Economy Remains Strong
——————————————————
We all know that the world economy is very challenging right now.

Many countries are going through hard times and a lot of people have lost their jobs.

But in Malaysia, under the leadership of Datuk Seri Najib, the economy remains stable and strong.

Malaysia has consistently recorded a gross domestic product growth or GDP of between 4 and 5 per cent for the past several years.

The economy grew 4.2 percent last year and Bank Negara Malaysia expects the economy to grow between 4.3 and 4.8 percent in 2017.

The Malaysian economy has not gone into a recession.

And a large majority of Malaysians still have their jobs.

All this is all partly due to the efforts of Datuk Seri Najib.

So it is clear that Datuk Seri Najib has done well and deserves to be one of Asia’s best finance ministers.

Datuk Seri Najib Is Malaysia’s Number One Salesman
——————————————————————–
To have a good strong economy, Malaysia must attract investments from both inside and outside of the country.

Datuk Seri Najib knows this and that is why he has been friendly with investors inside Malaysia and from all over the world.

Because of his investment friendly policies, Malaysia attracted RM144 billion worth of business deals from China.

Saudi Arabia Oil Co or Saudi Aramco will also invest RM31.08 billion at the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development Project (Rapid) in Johor.

One of the world’s richest man Jack Ma who is executive chairman of Alibaba Group has also agreed to build an e-commerce hub near the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

All these business were brought in by Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Datuk Seri Najib is Malaysia’s number one salesman inviting investors from all over the world to come to Malaysia.

None of this will happen if Malaysia is not friendly with investors.

And who will benefit?

The rakyat of course because investments will make our economy strong.

When our economy is strong, the rakyat will be able to earn an income and feed their families.

Najib Manages The Country’s Finances Well
——————————————————-
Datuk Seri Najib is known for managing the country’s economy and finances well.

The Prime Minister wants to ensure that the government’s financial condition remains strong and debts are managed well.

Datuk Seri Najib always make sure that the government does not overspend and do not have too much debt and make sure that the government can repay.

Because of this, foreign rating agencies such as Moody’s Investors Service like the way Datuk Seri Najib is handling the economy.

Moody’s said in its report on April 3 that the Malaysian government had demonstrated its commitment to fiscal consolidation, for seven consecutive years between 2010-2016.

What it means is that Moody’s said that the government under the leadership of Najib has reduced the debt by spending less and saving more which will be good for the economy.

Najib Did The Right Thing By Implementing The GST
————————————————————–
The GST or Goods and Services Tax (GST) was unpopular.

But everybody knows now that Datuk Seri Najib did the right thing when he introduced the GST.

This is because nobody was prepared when oil prices crashed to US$30 barrel per barrel two years ago.

Datuk Seri Najib had the vision to implement the GST which somewhat saved the economy.

If Datuk Seri Najib did not implement the GST, our economy would have been affected by the low oil prices.

Thanks to Datuk Seri Najib’s vision, Malaysia now has an efficient tax system.

And now, after looking at Malaysia’s success in implementing the GST, Saudi Arabia and India also wants to implement the GST.

Customs Department director general Datuk Seri Khazali Ahmad said Malaysia targets to collect up to RM42 billion in GST this year, compared with RM41.2 billion in 2016.

This is a success story for the Malaysian economy and all this thanks to Datuk Seri Najib.

Najib Continues To Implement Projects For The Rakyat
——————————————————————–
Datuk Seri Najib knows that one of the many ways to grow the economy is to support the rakyat.

This includes implementing projects for the rakyat such as the mass rapid transit (MRT), light rail transit (LRT), build houses such as 1Perumahan Rakyat Malaysa or 1PRIMA housing, Kedai 1Malaysia and so many others.

All these activities help the local economy become strong as it will make the rakyat spend their money.

When the rakyat spend their money, the local economy becomes solid and will be able to protect the country against the weak global economy.

And all this will not happen without the encouragement and the vision of Datuk Seri Najib.

Companies Continue To Do Good Business Under Najib’s Leadership
———————————————————————————-
Under Datuk Seri Najib’s friendly investment policies, business in Malaysia continue to do well.

Companies listed under Bursa Malaysia such as Maybank, CIMB, Sime Darby, Hong Leong, AirAsia and so many others continue to do good business.

When companies do good business, the rakyat will be able to earn salaries and feed their families and pay for their houses.

All these activities support our economy.

And Malaysia’s exports in February expanded at the fastest pace in seven years, helped by a surge in demand for electrical and electronic products from all over the world.

Second Finance Minister Datuk Abdul Johari Ghani said if things continue to do well and the gross domestic product continues to grow, the ringgit will be strong again.

And all this is due to the efforts and wise leadership of Datuk Seri Najib.

www.financeasia was wrong
————————————-
www.financeasia.com said earlier that Najib was the worst finance minister in 2016.

And then it made a u-turn and said that Najib was among the best finance ministers in Asia in 2017.

What this shows is that foreign press can try all they want to paint a bad picture on Datuk Seri Najib.

But Datuk Seri Najib just ignores all that and continue to work hard for the Malaysian people.
In the end, www.financeasia was wrong and Datuk Seri Najib is right.

Datuk Seri Najib has worked hard and he will continue to work hard so that the rakyat’s welfare will be taken care of and that Malaysia will continue to do well in the future under the leadership of Datuk Seri Najib.
